DECEMBER
Garden Tips
|
- To enjoy the fragrance at holiday
time, start a bowl of Paperwhite Narcissus.
- To keep a cut Christmas tree
fresh, make a cut 2" up from the base and stand in a bucket
of water out of the direct sun.
- Before the ground freezes, dig a
hole that will be used for planting of live Christmas trees.
Remember to acclimate your tree slowly to the indoors by first
storing in an unheated garage, then moving to the house, and then
storing in the garage again prior to planting outside.
- Select your poinsettia plant for
the Holiday season.
- Check your holiday and tree
lights for safety.
- Check your houseplants, give them
a cleaning and cut back on their watering a bit.
