Project Update as of November 7, 2005

River Campus Interior Piping
  • The commissioning process for the new equipment in Susan B. Anthony Halls, Burton Hall, Crosby Hall, Tiernan Hall, Gilbert Hall, Anderson Tower, Wilder Tower, Hutchison Hall, CSSL, Gleason Hall, Hylan Hall, Schlegel Hall, Lattimore Hall, Sage Art Center, Lovejoy Hall, Hoeing Hall, Interfaith Chapel, NYS Optics, Meliora Hall, and Harkness Hall is complete.
  • The restart of the new equipment in CSSL, Lattimore, Hutchison Hall, and Schlegel Hall is scheduled for 11/08/05 beginning at 8 a.m. Please watch for project notifications for your buildings.
  • The commissioning process for the new equipment in the Slater Hall - Hill Court, and Goergen Athletic Center is scheduled for 11/11/05 beginning at 8 a.m. Please watch for project notifications for your buildings.
Medical Center Interior Activity Report
  • The entire piping main and branches are complete and tested throughout the Medical Center.
  • Hot water is being created by the Central Utlities plant and being circulated through the Medical Center.
  • There are 51 heat exchangers designated for the Medical Center and all have been installed. Over half of the exchangers have been tested and all shall be brought into service over the next four weeks.
  • Strong Hospital--75 percent of the heat exchangers have been commissioned and are on-line. The engineer is investigating a problem with teh domestic water heater so the former steam exchanger is still in service.
  • Emergency Building--Both exchangers are commissioned and on-line.
  • Access Center--the exchangers shall be commissioned this week.
  • SS and GG wings--half of the 8 exchangers have been commissioned and are on-line. There is a circulation problem that is being investigated with the domestic water heater system so the former steam exchanger is still in service.
  • Helen Wood Hall--both exchangers are commissioned and are on-line. The utility tunnerl between SMD and Helen Wood Hall has been opened as of November 1st.
  • KMRB, MRBX, and Levine Pavilion--the four heat exchangers have been commissioned and will be brought into service.
  • R Wing--the five heat exchangers have been commissioned and four are on-line. Some control programing is needed for one exchanger.

Medical Center Interior Activity Report

  • KMRB, MRBX, and Levine Pavilion--the four heat exchangers have been commissioned and will be brought into service within two weeks.
  • R Wing--the four heat exchangers have been commissioned and will be brought into service within two weeks.

River Campus Underground Piping
  • All underground piping installation on River Campus is complete.

  • The commissioning process for the new equipment in CSSL, Gleason Hall, and Hylan Hall is scheduled for 10-18-05 beginning at 8 a.m. Please watch for project notifications for your buildings.
  • The commissioning process for the new equipment in Burton Hall, Crosby Hall, and Goergen Athletic Facility is scheduled for 10-19-05 beginning at 8 a.m. Please watch for project notifications for your buildings.
  • The commissioning process for the new equipment in Lovejoy Hall, Hoeing Hall, Tiernan Hall, and Gilbert Hall is scheduled for 10-20-05 beginning at 8 a.m. Please watch for project notifications for your buildings.
Cogeneration Plant Construction Activities
  • The work related to the installation of University purchased equipment continues.
  • Miscellaneous iron work continues.
  • The LP Turbine Generator was grouted.
  • The spray on fire proofing remains on hold.
  • The existing plant exterior wall in-fill (except the center stairs) is complete.
  • Exterior masonry is complete except for the stair tower.
  • Acid washing of the brick continues.
  • Installation of the dampers, louvers, and windows will begin this week.
  • Work on the ADA asccess area continues.
  • The fire sprinkler piping installation continues.
  • The mechanical and electrical work on the cooling tower system is complete.
  • The roof lighting continues.
  • The electrical gear for the penthouse was received and installed.
  • The piping on the LP Turbine has begun.
  • The Boiler ash hopper demolition was completed.
  • The primary water treatment system components are arriving on site this week.
  • The work on the DA tank continues.
  • The installation of the HP Turbine internals has begun.
  • The delivery and installation of the mechanical and electrical equipment continues.
Medical Center Exterior Activity Report
  • Whipple Courtyard - the Courtyard will be graded and seeded through the Facilities Grounds crew. The lawn area was used as a staging area for a roofing project that is now complete.
Medical Center Interior Activity
  • There are 54 heat exchangers designated for the Medical Center and most have been installed. The last six exchangers are expected to be complete within two weeks.
  • Strong Hospital - one third of the heat exchangers have been commissioned since the beginning of October.
  • Emergency Building - the fabrication of exchangers are 80 percent complete on the 5th floor mechanical room. The basement mechanical room exchangers will be commissioned this week.
  • Access Center - exchangers will be complete this week.
  • SS & GG wings - half of the exchangers have been commissioned and the other half are scheduled by the first week of November.
  • Helen Wood Hall - utility tunnel between SMD and Helen Wood Hall is closed off until the end of October. The exchanger commissioning is scheduled this week.
  • KMRB, MRBX, and Levine Pavilion - commissioining of the heat exchanger systems in these areas is complete
  • R Wing - commissioning of the heat exchanger systems has been completed.

September 12, 2005

River Campus Underground Piping
  • All underground piping installation on River Campus is complete.
  • Area 12C - Underground piping installation in the area from the Spurrier Tunnel to Library Road is complete. Site restoration is in progress. The binder for the walk way has been installed from Library Road to the base of the hill near SBA-Spurrier Tunnel. The lower sidewalk asphalt from the base of the hill SBA-Spurrier Tunnel to Sage Art Building will be replaced within the next two weeks.

  • Heat exchanger and interior piping installation continues in Hutchison, Hylan, CSSL, Hopeman, Wallis, Wilmot, Harkness, Meliora, Interfaith Chapel, Gleason, Susan B. Anthony Hall, Goergen Athletic Facility, Anderson & Wilder Towers, Slater House, and the Residential Quad. Expect contractor activity in these areas.
  • The commissioning process will begin Tuesday, September 27, 2005, in CSSL. Please watch for project notifications for your buildings.
Cogeneration Plant Construction Activities
  • The work related to the installation of University purchased equipment has resumed.
  • Miscellaneous iron work continues.
  • The spray on fire proofing will continue as spaces become available.
  • The in-fill of the existing plant exterior wall continues.
  • Exterior masonry work continues aong the west and south walls. The north wall is complete.
  • ADA access area is being constructed.
  • Fire sprinkler ripping installation has begun.
  • Work on the cooling tower piping system continues.
  • Cooling tower delivery and installation is complete.
  • The LTHW circulation pumps were successfully placed in service and water circulated.
  • The delivery and installation of the mechanical and electrical equipment continues.

  • Strong Hospital - exchangers are being installed in the B.3620 and 1.3450 mechanical rooms.
  • Emergency Building - piping has been installed in the basement mechanical room and exchanger installation is ongoing. Piping fabrication has started in the 5th floor mechanical room and five exchangers will be installed.
  • Access Center - the piping has been extended into the Access Center, ground floor mechanical room, and exchangers shall be completed within a week.
  • SS & GG wings - all of the heat exchangers have been installed.
  • Helen Wood Hall - utility tunnel between SMD and Helen Wood Hall is closed off possibly until the end of September. Two mechanical expansion components failed and are being replaced and piping supports are being improved.
  • KMRB, MRBX, and Levine Pavilion - piping and heat exchanger systems are complete and tested.

September 12, 2005 

RIVER CAMPUS UNDERGROUND PIPING ACTIVITY REPORT

  • All underground piping on River Campus is complete.   
  • Area 5 – Underground piping from Hopeman to Schlegel Hall is in progress and will be complete by August 19, 2005. Contractors will be working overtime to complete this area on schedule.
  • Area 12C – Underground piping installation in the area from the Spurrier Tunnel to Library Road is complete. Site restoration is in progress. The binder for the walk way has been installed from Library Road to the base of the hill near SBA-Spurrier Tunnel. The Asphalt top coat is scheduled to be in place September 13, 2005. The lower sidewalk asphalt from the base of the hill SBA-Spurrier Tunnel to Sage Art Building will be replaced within the next two weeks.

RIVER CAMPUS INTERIOR PIPING ACTIVITY REPORT

  • Heat exchanger and interior piping installation continues in Hutchison, Hylan, CSSL, Hopeman, Wallis, Wilmot, Harkness, Meliora, Interfaith Chapel, Gleason, Susan B. Anthony, Goergen Athletic Facility, Anderson-Wilder Towers, Slater House, and the Residential Quad. Expect contractor activity in these areas. Watch for postings regarding disruptions and utility shutdowns. All domestic water shutdowns related to this project for the Residential Life buildings have been completed.

COGENERATION PLANT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

  • The work related to the installation of the University purchsed equipment has resumed.  
  • Miscellaneous iron work continues. 
  • The in-fill of the existing plant exterior wall continues.
  • Spray on fire proofing will contnue as spaces become available. 
  • ADA access area is being constructed.
  • Cooling tower delivery and installation is complete.
  • Exterior masonry work continues with the north wall complete .
  • The LTHW circulation pumps were successfully placed in service and water circulated.
  • The deliveries and installation of the large bore piping, electgrical conduit, etc., continue.
MEDICAL CENTER INTERIOR ACTIVITY REPORT
  • Strong Hospital – exchangers are being installed in the B-3620 and 1-3450 mechanical rooms.
  • There are 54 heat exchangers designated for the Medical Center and over 80 percent have been installed The remaining exchanger are expected to be complete by mid-month.
  • Emergency Building - Piping has been installed in the basement mechanical room and exchanger installation is ongoing. Piping fabrication has begun in the fifth floor mechanical room and five exchangers will be installed.
  • Access Centr - The piping has been extended into the Access Center, ground floor mechanical room and exchangers shall be completed within a week.
  • SS&GG wings - most of the heat exchangers have been installed.
  • Helen Wood Hall - Utility tunnel between SMD and Helen Wood Hall is closed off possibly until the end of September. Two mechanical expansion components that failed are being replaced and piping supports are being improved.

August 22, 2005 

RIVER CAMPUS UNDERGROUND PIPING ACTIVITY REPORT

  • Area 4 - Installation of underground piping from forecourt to Interfaith Chapel is complete. Restoration of the Wilson Blvd roadway and sidewalk will be fully restored this week. Interfaith sidewalk and snow melt repairs will be completed ASAP. Gleason underground pipe installation will be complete by close of business tomorrow. The site restoration will be complete by close of business Friday, August 19, 2005. 
  • Area 5 – Underground piping from Hopeman to Schlegel Hall is in progress and will be complete by August 19, 2005. Contractors will be working overtime to complete this area on schedule.
  • Area 8 – Complete.
  • Area 9 – South end of Intercampus Parking Lot to Central Utilities. The south end of Intercampus Parking Lot and the sidewalk between Intercampus Drive and the Medical Center is now open. Site restoration and landscaping is in progress. Some sidewalk paver bricks will need to be releveled and reset within the next week and a half.
  • Area 10 - Central Utilities Yard Area. Underground piping installation was completed as of August 15, 2005.
  • Area 11 – Central Utilities @ Elmwood Avenue. Underground piping work is complete. Site restoration is in progress. The soil and stabilization mat is complete. Sidewalk to be poured on August 16, 2005.
  • Area 12A – Excavation for underground piping in front of Goergen/Alumni Athletic Center is complete. Site restoration is in progress. The contractor will be replacing sidewalks near the Martin Brewer Anderson statue at Burton and Crosby on August 16, 2005.
  • Area 12B – Residence Quad near Burton & Crosby Halls. Underground piping is complete. Site restoration is in progress. Topsoil will be completed by August 16, 2005. Hydro-seeding will be completed by the end of the week.
  • Area 12C – The sidewalk at the south end of Fauver Stadium to Sage Arts Center has begun on the east side of Library Road and will be completed by September 18, 2005. Contractors will begin work at the Spurrier tunnel on Thursday, August 18, 2005. Underground piping excavation from Sage Arts Center to the Spurrier tunnel is complete, site resotration is in progress. Asphalt sidewalk paving should be completed by Wednesday, August 17, 2005. One sidewalk will be open and maintained at all times from Anderson & Wilder Towers to Library Road.
  • Area 12D – Excavation and underground piping is complete. Site restoration is complete with the exception of hydro-seeding which will be completed by August 19, 2005.

  • Strong Hospital – The last main piping sections will be tested next week. This does not include the piping in the new Emergency Building and a branch in the Access Center that is presently under construction.
  • There are 54 heat exchangers designated for the Medical Center. Thirteen exchanger systems have been installed and eleven other systems are being fabricated/connected. The completed exchangers reside in "RWing", KMRB, MRB, and Strong.
      • Piping is being installed across the 1-3450 mechanical room. Hangers have been set and piping is being installed. 
      • Emergency Building - Piping is being installed in the basement mechanical room.
      • Access Center - The piping shall be extended into the Access Center ground floor mechanical room.
      • Helen Wood hall - Utility tunnel between SMD and Helen Wood Hall i8s closed off until the end of August. Contractors are installing the heat excahnger systems for the reheat and domestic hot water.
      • KMRB, MRBX, and Levine Pavilion - Heat exchanger systems are installed and branch piping to the exchangers is being tested.
      • R Wing - All but one heat exchanger system is installed and branch piping to the exchangers is being tested.

    MEDICAL CENTER EXTERIOR ACTIVITY REPORT
  • Whipple Courtyard - The area is substantially complete.    The courtyard lawn section is rought graded and shall be hydro-seeded in late summer. The lawn area will be used as a staging area for roof project in late summer.

July 11, 2005 

COGENERATION PLANT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

  • Area 4 - Strong Auditorium underground piping is complete. Todd Union parking lot has been reopened. Minor asphalt restoration remains to be completed.  
  • Area 5 – Hutchison Road and Hutchison sidewalk are now open for traffic.  Excavation in front of Wilmot Hall will be restored after the leak detection system has been tested. The area from the Hopeman Loading dock to the area in front of Gleason Hall will begin this week with tree removal and mobilization. Excavation for underground piping installation will begin this week.
  • Area 8 – Asphalt and sidewalk repair in front of New York State Optics has been restored.
  • Area 9 – South end of Intercampus Parking Lot to Central Utilities.  The south
  • end of Intercampus Parking Lot and the sidewalk between Intercampus Drive and the Medical Center will be closed through July 1, 2005. Please follow alternate traffic signage directing the use of an alternate parking lot entrance and temporary sidewalk between Intercampus Drive and the Medical Center.
  • Area 11 – Central Utilities @ Elmwood Avenue. Underground piping installation
  • of Kendrick Road and Elmwood Avenue in front of Central Utilities.
  • This site will be completed after the domestic waterline is relocated early next week. Expect intermittent lane closures on Elmwood Avenue.
  • Area 12A – Excavation for underground piping in front of Goergen/Alumni Athletic Center will begin this week. Access to the front entrance will be maintained. Substantial progress continues to be been made installing the underground piping in this area. Expect noise due to construction for the next several weeks.
  • Area 12B – Residence Quad near Burton & Crosby Halls.
  • Excavation has begun in this location.
  • Area 12C – Library Road and the sidewalk at the South end of Fauver Stadium to Sage Arts Center is in the scheduling phase now.
  • Area 12D – Wilder Tower to Slater Hall. Excavation and underground piping installation continues in Hill Court parking lot above 612 Wilson Blvd. building.  Excavation from behind 612 to Slater Hall is complete. Core-boring into Slater Hall basement is complete. Underground piping installation is in progress.

  • Interior piping installation is complete with the exception of heat exchanger installations in Hutchison, Hylan, CSSL, Hopeman, Wallis, Wilmot, Harkness, Meliora, Interfaith Chapel, Gleason. Interior piping installation continues in  Susan B. Anthony Hall, Goergen Athletic Facility and Anderson & Wilder Towers. Interior piping layout and mobilization has begun in the Residential Quad. Expect increased noise and contractor activity in these areas. Watch for postings regarding disruptions and utility shutdowns.

COGENERATION PLANT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

  • The work related to the installation of the new equipment in the existing plant is continuing. 
  • Steel erection continues. 
  • The remaining Operating Floor slab (6 to 13 lines) and the roof (1 to 11 line) concrete slabs were poured.
  • The spray on fire proofing is continuing as spaces become available. 
  • The boiler is expected on site on 6/29/05. 
  • Deliveries of the large bore piping, electrical conduit, etc. continue.

  MEDICAL CENTER INTERIOR ACTIVITY REPORT

  • Strong Hospital – Pipe mains have been installed in the outside air intake serving mechanical rooms B.3620 and the Emergency Building.
    • A main circuit extending between the basement and second floor south end of the mechanical room is nearly complete.  The last piping section shall be complete that across three meeting rooms of the House of Six Nations. 
    • The scaffold has been removed from the first floor Family Waiting conference room as the extension piping between the basement and second floor mechanical rooms is complete.
  • Contractors are fabricating two typical exchanger systems for Facilities trades to review.  Both models shall be completed next week.  The model systems are located in 2.1400 and B.1250 mechanical rooms. 
  • Emergency Building - Hanger systems are being installed in the basement mechanical room and pipe shall be set into the hangers next week.
  • Access Center – The pipe extension between the SMH B.1250 mechanical rooms to the Access Center tunnel is nearly complete.  The piping shall be extended into the Access Center, ground floor mechanical room.
  • SMD 3200 & 4100 –  The piping system is  ~ 90 % complete as the contractor makes the final connections in the 4100 section crawl space.  
  • SMD 5000 areas – The main distribution piping is being installed in the 5000 section basement and crawl spaces, completing the connection between the west end of  the Medical Center to the east side. The piping shall be routed though the crawl space, across an outside air intake, out through the mechanical room to the Musculoskeletal Parking Lot underground connection.
  • SMD 7400- The piping route is complete up the shaft way in route to the 7 th floor mechanical room.   
  • S”S” & “GG” wings – Pipe supplies were crane rigged into 7 th floor penthouse area last week and piping set in the hangers.  
  • Hellenwood Hall – Utility tunnel between SMD and Hellenwood hall is closed off until the end of July, opening August 1 st. 
    • The temporary heating cross-tie has been installed and in operation supplying the building domestic hot water needs and small space heating needs.   
    • The Cogen piping shall be extended to the new addition that is presently under construction at the rear of the existing building.  The piping will be extended out of the basement tunnel and across a short section of the lawn, west of the main entrance, and into the main building.  Unfortunately, there was not an available piping route between the basement tunnel and building crawl space.
    • KMRB, MRBX, & Levine Pavilion –  The piping systems are complete through the building and over to the 7200 and 7400 sections of SMD.  The piping system is being filled with water this week and shall be hydro tested next week to a pressure of 320 pisg.
  • R Wing – Contractors are complete with the piping circuit between the basement mechanical room ( B.9220) and the domestic hot water tank room.    

MEDICAL CENTER EXTERIOR ACTIVITY REPORT

  • SMD Musculoskeletal Parking Loop- Excavation for piping between the 4100 and 5000 building is being paved in the morning of Saturday 6/25.  Facilities has posted an alert to building occupants surrounding this courtyard area to be aware there may be odors ingested into the building from the paving.
  • Whipple Courtyard - The area is substantially complete.    The lawn section is rough graded and courtyard (pad & pavers) restored.  The lawn will be hydro seeded in late summer because this is the staging area of roof work this summer.

June 6, 2005

RIVER CAMPUS UNDERGROUND PIPING ACTIVITIES
  • Contractors are surveying and mobilizing in the following areas:
  1. Area 4 - Strong Auditorium piping complete. Todd parking lot has been closed for underground piping installation and will remain closed for the next couple of weeks.
  2. Area 5 - Excavation of the driveway to the Schlegel/Gleason Lot between Wallis Hall and Hopeman began on June 3rd. Mobilization and excavation for the 10" pipe installation for the BME Optics Building is complete and is currently being backfilled. Hutchinson Road is scheduled to reopen tomorrow June 7, 2005.
  3. Area 6 and 8 - Central Utilities at Elmwood Avenue. Piping installation continues. Progress in this area is slow due to the large number of existing underground utility pipes encountered in the new piping route excavation. Underground piping installation continues at the banked area on the South side of Elmwood Avenue near the intersection of Kendrick Road and Elmwood Avenue in front of Central Utilities. Expect interruptions in traffic flow patterns due to this work.
  4. Area 8 - Taylor Hall, excavation work continues. Asphalt in front of New York State Optics is in progress. Hutchison Road is scheduled to reopen June 7, 2005.
  5. Area 12A - Todd Union to Goergen Athletic Facilities substantial progress has been made installing the underground piping in this area. Expect noise due to construction for the next several weeks.

    RIVER CAMPUS INTERIOR PIPING ACTIVITIES

  • Interior piping installation continues in Hutchison, Hylan, CSSL, Hopeman, Wallis, Wilmot, Harkness, Meliora, Susan B. Anthony Hall, and Goergen continues. Expect increased noise and contractor activity in these areas. Watch for postings regarding disruptions and utility shutdowns.
  • COGENERATION PLANT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
  • Work related to the installation of the new equipment in the existing plant is continuing.
  • Steel erection for the new structure continues.
  • The overhead crane was set in place .
  • The Operating Floor slab (1 to 6 lines) was poured.
  • The boiler left the manufacturing facility and is currently in Battle Creek, MI.
  • The work related to the re-installation of the existing cooling tower piping and electrical is complete.
  • Deliveries of the large bore piping, electrical conduit, etc. continue.
MEDICAL CENTER INTERIOR ACTIVITIES
  • Strong Hospital - Pipe mains are being fabricated through the outside air intake serving mechanical rooms B3620 and the Emergency Building.
  • A main circuit extending between the basement and second floor south end of the mechanical room is nearly complete. A final connection extending through the ceiling for the first floor Family Waiting conference room should be complete this week whereas the scaffold can be removed.
    Another main circuit extending between B3620 and north end of the second floor mechanical room is 50% complete.
  • Contractors shall fabricate typical exchanger at their shop for Facilities trades to review.
  • Access Center - Piping is being extended from the SMH B1250 mechanical room to the Access Center ground floor mechanical room.
  • SMD 3200 and 4100 - Pipe has been set in hangers as welding commences this week ~ 70 percent complete.
  • SMD 6000, 6300, and 7200 areas - Main pipe systems in the crawl spaces from 6000 to the 7200 areas is complete and awaiting testing. Piping in the 6000 area shall be extended to the 5000 and Hellenwood Hall tunnel areas underway.
  • SMD 7400 - The piping route through the crawl space is complete and in route to the 7th floor mechanical room. The contract team was investigating an alternate route through the ground floor mechanical shaft ways over to the opposite side of the building but may likely stay with the original routing.
  • S and GG wings - 40 percent of the hangers have been installed in the 7th floor penthouse area.
  • Hellenwood Hall - Utility tunnel between SMD and Hellenwood Hall is closed off until the first week of July. A temporary steam system has been installed between SMD and Hellenwood Hall. Old utility piping removed and new Cogen piping is being installed.
  • KMRB, MRBX, and Levine Pavilion - All heat exchanger system tie-ins are complete. The piping system shall be hydro tested soon.
  • R Wing - Contractors are fabricating a piping circuit between the basement mechanical room (B9220) and the domestic hot water tank room. A section of the circuit was routed through the 9200 basement conference room ceiling and that portion has been completed.

MEDICAL CENTER EXTERIOR ACTIVITY ACTIVITIES
  • SMD Musculoskeletal Parking Loop - Excavation for piping between the 4100 and 5000 building is substantially complete. The driving surface was restored with crush stone fill and excavated areas shall be paved in the near future, after hours.
  • Whipple Courtyard - The area is substantially complete. The lawn section is rough graded and courtyard (pad and pavers) restored. The lawn will be hydro seeded in late summer because this is the staging area of roof work this summer.
  • KMRB - Work in the front parking lot is complete and paved last week in addition to the Vivarium loading dock at KMRB, and the excavation between R Wing and the 62' Auditorium.
  • S Wing - There is a plan to locate a crane at the Radiation Safety loading dock to rig piping and supplies up to the 7th floor mechanical room. The supplies would enter through the building louvers west of the freezer farm, 7th floor in another two weeks.

March 8, 2005

RIVER CAMPUS UNDERGROUND PIPING ACTIVITIES
  • The Cogen Project will be shutdown due to weather conditions until March 14, 2005. Walk thru for mobilization planning is scheduled for March 9, 2005.
  • Interior piping installation has started in Hutchison and Hyland Halls.
  • Piping fabrication continues offsite.
  • On Monday, March 14, 2005, excavation across Intercampus Drive will begin for the installation of underground piping. During the process there will be interruptions to traffic flow, however, the road will remain open for traffic at all times.
  • River Campus South section of Intercampus lot (Area 9) - Piping installation is complete. Repair to a parking lot light is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2005. All parking spaces are available and cold patch has been applied to the roadway. Permanent asphalt restoration is scheduled for spring.

RIVER CAMPUS INTERIOR PIPING ACTIVITIES
  • Pipe hangers are being installed in Hutchison and Hylan Halls.
  • Layout for piping penetrations is in progress.
COGENERATION PLANT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
  • Supporting auxiliary equipment continues to arrive and be installed into the existing building.
  • Concrete wall and turbine supporting structures have been poured.
  • Steel erection is scheduled for mid March.
  • Large pipe prefabrication is continuing offsite.

MEDICAL CENTER INTERIOR ACTIVITIES
  • Piping support hangers are being installed in the Strong Hospital sub-basement and KMRB basement. Fabricated pipe and supplies are being delivered to both locations.

MEDICAL CENTER EXTERIOR ACTIVITY ACTIVITIES
  • Outside piping core holes into the KMRB are being verified this week.
  • The test excavations in Whipple Courtyard are scheduled the week of March 14.
  • Construction staging is being determined for the KMRB parking lot, west end.
